As a Planetree community, our vision is focused on resident-centered care. It builds upon relationships of everyone in the community that is based on the holistic approach of mind, body, and spirit. We strive to be a special place that will make you feel at home. Planetree is a non-profit organization that provides education and information through collaboration with healthcare organizations. It emphasizes that everyone in the community is a caregiver. The Planetree philosophy is at work in healthcare settings across the Unites States, Canada and Europe, and has received recognition from international publications and health journals.
We encourage volunteerism by residents and staff in our community and in the larger community. We call that “Planetree in Action” We have received multiple awards from Planetree International and the Connecticut Assisted Living Association. We are all about resident-centered care. That is the Planetree way. We put residents first. We believe in healing partnerships with caregivers, families, and friends.
